Awaiting government response on GST, says Congress
All parties are reflecting mood to take decisions for faster growth.

Nearly all significant regional parties, except for the AIADMK, have extended their support to the GST bill.
As per established norms, the House usually adjourns for the day after paying tributes to the departed Member who has died either during the inter-session period or during the session itself.

The Congress has flagged its opposition against two more Bills in the Rajya Sabha.

Union Minister Venkaiah Naidu spoke to senior Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad on Thursday to seek his support for the passage of GST Bill.
The government’s unsuccessful NSG bid, floods in some states, agrarian crisis and terrorism were among the other main issues raised by opposition leaders at the meeting.
Naqvi said the Congress could convey its reservations on the bill during the debate and the government reply.
“In order to spur development and to take the nation forward, the discussions should be of constructive nature so that the nation develops at a rapid pace”. We will support on merit. “We will create a consensus”, he said.
“The government has to come back to us with its proposal, once they do that we will consider it ” says Jyotiraditya Scindia Lok Sabha MP.
On the other hand, the government is hopeful of a breakthrough on the key GST bill, Whistle Blowers Protection (Amendment) Bill, Consumer Protection Bill 2015, the Benami Transactions (Prohibition) Amendment Bill, 2015 and few more.
