Auburn has found its high school quarterback for the 2017 recruiting class.
The Green Wave senior chose the Tigers over Georgia and Florida.
Bishop is from Dawson (Ga.) Terrell County and had Georgia and Florida on his list of finalists.
“I wanted to go ahead and get it out of the way”, he said.
“I am now 100-percent committed to Auburn”, said Bishop.
Bishop is now rated the No. 14 player in the state of Georgia.
Auburn’s recruiting class jumped five spots to No. 13 nationally after Bishop’s commitment.
Auburn had been the favorite for some time due to the Tigers liking him at quarterback.
When Bishop informed Malzahn of his decision, the coach got in a jab about how long it took for the athlete to pick Auburn. “They would show me the plays Nick Marshall made at Auburn”.

Coming out of the same high school as Auburn wide receiver Nate Craig-Myers, Barrett is the best chance for Auburn football to get a highly talented running back in the 2017 class. “I see myself succeeding very much in this offense”.
