Pence praised Trump as “the people’s choice” who “understands the anxiety and the aspiration of the American people like no leader since Reagan”. “All of a sudden, they said because I delayed it for the tragedy, they said maybe he’s having second thoughts”. Trump called Pence “my partner in this campaign” and his first and best choice to join him on a winning Republican presidential ticket. “Secondly, because Hillary Clinton must never become President of the United States of America”.

“It was the single greatest non-endorsement I’ve ever had”, Trump said. “Now we’re seeing unrest in Turkey”. Pence gave a nod to that by saying “strong Republican leadership can bring about real change”.

She may have come away the pundits’ victor, but New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie said Thursday, Sept. 16, 2015, Carly Fiorina talked too much last night about herself and not enough about the issues. Well, not if the man doing the introduction is Donald Trump.

Pence said that he wrote the essay “a long time ago”.

Pence said that Trump “is a man that appreciates candor”. Pence seemed mindful of reassuring voters about Trump’s character.

Mike Pence stepped into the limelight as Donald Trump’s running mate.

It remains unclear however if Pence and Trump agree on every major policy position.

Mike Pence (R) not only had to be rescued from 60 Minutes’ Leslie Stahl by Donald Trump during their interview on Sunday, but at one point Trump was seen steering Pence toward an answer regarding Sen.

“Mike Pence is a conservative and some of the conservative base, I believe has been skeptical”, said delegate Maureen Kara.

Pence left most of the attack-dog role that is typical of a running mate to Trump.

The new simpler design is just a blue “Trump” over a red “Pence” behind a white background.

“We’re going to declare war against ISIS”.

Presenter Lesley Stahl asked if Mr Pence if he shared his colleague’s opinion that the former prisoner of war is “not a hero” because of his capture.

Some Republicans sitting out of the convention and not embracing Trump is a sign of just how split the Republican Party is, said Montclair State University political science professor Brigid Harrison.
