In occupied Kashmir, the forum patronized by the veteran Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani, and the All Parties Hurriyet Conference have expressed serious concern over the border tension between Pakistan and India.

A ceasefire agreement signed by the South Asian rivals in 2003 has largely held but each regularly accuses the other of violating it. Indian officials reported almost 200 violations in July.

Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan and speakers of all other states have been invited to the conference.

“We are going to find out what route he has taken, what was the target”, he said.

Meanwhile, IHK Assembly Speaker Kavinder Gupta said Pakistan has done this to insult India.

Indian villager, Bachan Dass, second right, mourns the death of his son Sanjay Kumar who killed during cross-border firing in the Hamirpur Kona area of Pargwal sector, on the India/Pakistan border, as he sits outside the morgue at the Government Medical College hospital in Jammu, India, on Tuesday.

Mahajan said this was against a rule in the CPU in which all the Speakers, who are members of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA), have to be extended an invitation to the CPU meeting. Tariq Khosa said in his op-Ed column that Mumbai attacks were planned and monitored in Pakistan.

Wednesday’s attack took place about 10km from the city of Udhampur, which houses a military base near the border with Pakistan. He called Pakistan aterrorist state. It is also essential to the region that stability be maintained between India and Pakistan so that they can jointly battle the problems that plague their countries.

As The Hindu reported last week, India is preparing to hand over “forensic and electronic evidence” of Pakistan’s support to terrorists operating against India.

He emphasized that fundamental rights of migrants should be protected and safeguarded to the fullest extent and the world community need to address the root causes of the problem in order to find a durable and long-lasting solution.

Udhampur is a garrison town on the main highway connecting Kashmir region with the rest of India.

“They have also demanded that Pakistan should forfeit its right to host the Conference and the venue should be shifted to another country“.
