Team Leader Revealed, Interaction and More
It is not known why these team leaders were revealed now instead of the beginning of the game. In Pokemon GO, once you hit Trainer Level 5, you get to choose a Team and fight for them, but while selecting the Team you can only see the Color, Team Name, and the Leader (shadow). Is there any truth to any of them?

The naming conventions for the Pokemon GO team leaders makes sense. However, at least now we can all look to a champion. Zapdos for Instinct, Moltress for Valor, and Articuno for Mystic. The options are Team Instinct, Valor, and Mystic led by Spark, Candela, and Blanche respectively.
And the only male of the three, Spark is the leader of Team Instinct. There are even some who have attributed his pendant to that of the protagonist from the same series. During the release of designs for the leaders at the San Diego Comic-Con, a couple of updates came into light. Each team corresponds with a legendary bird Pokémon. There might not have been any legendary Pokemons yet since the game still hasn’t been released in all intended geographical locales yet.
Hanke admitted that Pokemon Go wasn’t quite complete when the game launched, which explains why the reveals were saved for SDCC.
