Donald Trump accused Democratic rival Hillary Clinton of a legacy of “death, destruction, terrorism and weakness” as USA secretary of state and vowed to be tough on crime and illegal immigrants in a speech on Thursday accepting the Republican presidential nomination.

“She does the princess thing very well and she’s immensely close with my father”, he told CNN’s Sara Murray Thursday in Cleveland.
“He is color-blind and gender-neutral”, she said.
But it’s noticeable that the objection to Mr Trump in Cleveland is definitely not because of some of the more contentious things he has said about Muslims or Mexicans or women. “He is not politically correct”.
Ivanka is expected to be a key surrogate for her father in the general election campaign, particularly as he tries to make up ground against Clinton among women.
She continues, “But in addition to having an wonderful time with the incredible women that work for me, I also picked up a running bug – like I really actually rather enjoy it”.
This is perhaps more typically a Democratic talking point, but as she noted at the beginning of her speech: “Like many of my fellow millennials, I do not consider myself categorically Republican or Democrat”.
In his speech, Trump portrayed himself as a fresh alternative to traditional politicians, willing to consider new approaches to vexing problems and help working-class people who may feel abandoned.
Ivanka Trump saluted her father’s personal attributes – his “fairness”, his “kindness”, his “generosity” and his “compassion”.
“I remember him telling me when I was a little girl, ‘Ivanka, if you’re going to be thinking anyway, you might as well be thinking big”, Ivanka said at that announcement last June.
At times, she’s been called on try to defend her father and diffuse controversies, in some of the toughest moments of the Trump campaign. “I wouldn’t be the person I am today, I wouldn’t be a high level exec in his organization, if he felt that way”.
Trump needed a strong performance on Thursday night to improve his chances of getting a boost in opinion polls as Democrats prepare for their own, more scripted convention next week in Philadelphia. Along with the other Trump kids, she’s played a role in her father’s choice of a running mate, including meeting with the contenders behind closed doors. “I can tell you, I’m not voting for Hillary”.
While the offspring of New York’s super rich can be seen in and out of rehab, or struggling to hold down serious jobs, the Trump adult children are seemingly happily married and assets to his global corporation.
As the crowd chanted: “Lock her up” for her handling of USA foreign policy, Trump waved them off and said: “Let’s defeat her in November”.
“I like to run with my husband [Jared Kushner]”, Ivanka says.

“I find that in the absence of exercise, I have to be more mindful about what I eat and my diet, especially now that I just had a baby and trying to sort of get back to where I was before Theodore was born”, the entrepreneur and mother of three, 34, tells PEOPLE.
