Never naming names, Clinton slams Trump’s foreign policy
The scene was a troubling display of tumult for Democrats who awoke Monday to a firestorm over hacked party emails. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., cools off during a march in downtown on Sunday, July 24, 2016, in Philadelphia.

CBS North Carolina talked to veterans and their families at the convention and they talked about several issues they wanted the candidates to address, including military presence overseas, national security and health care for veterans in North Carolina.
At the GOP convention in Cleveland, delegates and speakers chanted “Lock her up” in response to the Department of Justice’s decision not to bring criminal charges over Clinton’s handling of classified information while secretary of state.
The public won’t be hearing much more from Wasserman Schultz this week.
“We knew they were stacking the deck against Bernie from the get-go, but this type of stuff coming out is outrageous”, he said.
The Republican convention last week laid bare a splintered party that continues to have deep misgivings about their nominee.
Clinton’s campaign manager, Robby Mook, tried to shift blame away from DNC officials to “Russian state actors” who, he said, may have hacked into DNC computers “for the goal of helping Donald Trump”, the Republican presidential nominee.
“This election and every election is about who will have the power to shape our children for the next four or eight years of their lives”, Mrs. Obama said on the opening night of the Democratic convention. Trump declared on Twitter: “The Dems Convention is cracking up”.
Donald Trump’s speech to the GOP convention attracted an estimated 32.2 million TV viewers, according to the Nielsen company. “America’s best days are still ahead of us, my friends”, Clinton said during a campaign event Saturday in Miami. Then, in an extraordinary scene Wednesday night, the convention hall broke out into jeers as former presidential candidate Ted Cruz refused to explicitly endorse Trump during his prime-time speech.
By adding Kaine to the ticket, the Democratic nominee nearly certainly hopes to suggest to voters that her presidency would not repeat Obama’s mistakes, and that she has a very different foreign policy adviser in Kaine.
While avoiding any direct mention of Trump’s name, Clinton slammed many of his recent statements about the military and worldwide affairs, vowing to stand by longtime allies, fight repressive regimes and carefully weigh the advice of military officials. Clinton was joined in the interview by her newly-minted running mate, Virginia Sen.
“If they think they can win without half the party, let them lose”, said Andrew Fader, 27, of NY, who was wearing a “Bernie” T-shirt on Sunday near the Liberty Bell.
This likely influenced her choice not to appeal more to Bernie Sanders’ supporters.
“Our credibility as a movement will be damaged by booing, turning of backs, walking out or other similar displays”, Sanders wrote.
While her ouster was a major victory for Sanders, it wasn’t enough to ease the frustration of his supporters.
Ohio’s Michael Skindell, a Sanders delegate, said Monday he plans to “strongly support the nominee of the party”.
Liberal Sanders supporters pushed for changes to the party nominating process at a meeting of the convention rules committee Saturday.
“Long overdue”, said Norman Solomon, a Sanders delegate from California who is trying to organize enough fellow delegates to replace Sen. I should’ve had two accounts; one for personal and one for office.
Sanders will stress that the party mission is to elect Clinton in November and prevent billionaire Republican Donald Trump from becoming the 45th president of the United States.

The chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee said she will resign this week in the aftermath of the release of thousands of embarrassing internal email exchanges among Democratic officials.
