Mark Hunt’s Brutal Message For The UFC

This past Tuesday, the WWE held a draft to determine which of the company’s wrestlers would appear on its two television shows. They made enough money from our blood for years.

Jon Jones and Brock Lesnar followed different paths to UFC 200.

Lesnar is well-known to MMA fans.

But even though his opponents have continuously been caught, Hunt revealed not a single person from the UFC has reached out to him.

“The best outcome is if the company that I work for says, ‘you’ve been cheating, you lose all of your (fight earnings), and since it was cheating, you get fined”. Both are big men and heavy hitters which made the strategy of comparing form and style a bit more hard than usual.

The UFC fast-tracked Lesnar’s return and some can’t help but think that the company tried to elude these issues to make UFC 200 a success.

“‘Hey man, we’ll let this juiced up freaking monkey go in here and fight with this guy.’ I mean, shucks, people say (I) should have a rematch with him”. He suggested that anyone who cheats should “lose all of their fight earnings” and even be suspended for five or ten years. Lesnar is unquestionably one of the top stars in the WWE, but he’s in a precarious position. Jones, on the other hand, didn’t have a purse because he did not compete. Lesnar famously left WWE in 2004 as he exhausted of the company’s travel schedule.

UFC heavyweight, Pride FC veteran and former K-1 world champion Mark Hunt has really been there and done it in the combat sports world. “The reason why I am upset is because this isn’t the first or second opponent I fought, this is the third time I fought someone that has been cheating”. He always wanted a chance to return. Instead of fining Lesnar, UFC is leaving the fines up to the individual state athletic commissions. Nope, this one is entirely on the fighters who have given in at every turn and acquiesced to the UFC each and every time they’ve been asked/forced to. For the WWE, it was a great chance to market one of its biggest stars. Lesnar’s failures weren’t learned of until after the pay-per-view but both were positive for clomiphene. As far as Hunt is concerned, it is up to Dana White and his franchise to make a move now – he has said his piece. The UFC confirmed this month that Lesnar failed two doping tests in the lead-up to his victory over Hunt in Las Vegas, including a sample taken on the night of the fight. UFC would be happy to have him as he’s always been a major draw. Lesnar could be suspended by the UFC but it technically doesn’t matter.
