“In India, the film has earned Rs 250 crore, which includes Rs 100 crore from Tamil Nadu and Rs 150 crore from places outside the state in India”, the makers of Kabali said in a statement, adding that the Pa Ranjith directorial has approximately collected 100 Crore rupees from outside India. It has to be seen whether the film can sustain the momentum through the first week.
According to the sources, the climax was changed because the Censor Board in Malaysia would not allow their police to be show encouraging an extra judicial killing as in Indian version the Malaysian police are shown giving a gun to one of Kabali’s men to shoot him dead.
