Stoke snap up Sobhi

Eddy Lecygne, George Waring, Ollie Shenton, Daniel Gyollai, Julien N’Goy and Joel Taylor were all named from the club’s Under-21 squad, while Euro 2016 stars such as Marko Arnautovic, Xhedan Shaqiri, Glenn Whelan and others are back in the fold.

Stoke’s bid met Liverpool’s valuation of a player with less than 12 months remaining on his contract and means they recouped most of the £15m they paid Swansea four years ago.

English Premier League side Stoke City announced on Monday that Egyptian midfielder Ramadan Sobhi has signed for the football club from Egyptian side Al-Ahly. If Stoke can get the best out of him, he’ll light up the Premier League.

“We have had to act swiftly to conclude the deal but we are delighted that we have managed to get it over the line”.

Swansea City are looking to bolster their attacking firepower and are targeting two strikers before the new season, the Premier League club’s chairman Huw Jenkins said.

The 19-year-old, who could cost up to €6million with add-ons, has been capped six times for Egypt.
