A bicyclist participating in the annual ride across Iowa was killed Sunday after colliding with a pickup truck near Glenwood. Preliminary investigation indicated that the driver apparently didn’t see Mr. Ezell, said Sgt. Nathan Ludwig, spokesman for the Iowa State Patrol.

According to RAGBRAI’s website, Iowa State Patrol is investigating to determine whether any charges should be made.

Mr. Ezell, 72, of Jacksonville was taking part in the Register’s Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa (RAGBRAI).
