Michelle Obama belts out hits with TV show host

Obama belted to every word in the song before saying that she’s a huge Stevie Wonder fan.

Instead, she joined Corden on a pleasant (and heavily guarded) tour through Washington.

The first lady sang “This Is for My Girls”, a tune meant to promote education for girls worldwide.

In other news, Corden asked Obama what she would miss the most when they are no longer living at the White House. Rapper Missy Elliott jumped into the backseat and helped the two sing “This Is For My Girls” – the inspirational track written by Dianna Warren and released by Michelle For Let Girls Learn initiative. If you think the boys who ask Malia Obama out on dates have a lot to worry about just imagine receiving this tweet at the end of the night. FLOTUS broke it down for us, with some surprisingly impressive pipes, doing renditions of classics like “Signed, Sealed, Delivered” and “Single Ladies”.

“The way she is, you feel like you can just ride down the highway with the windows rolled down and be chilling with one of your friends”, Missy told the magazine. I know for a fact that it was all over my face like, ‘Wait, is she rapping this?’ But that goes to show you just how cool she is.

It’s the little things, like riding shotgun with the music turned up, that Obama said she most looks forward to in life after the White House.

While Corden usually zips around the roads in the Range Rover, the trio had to shoot the segment within the grounds of the White House.

At this point, Obama and Corden started singing Beyonce’s song “Single Ladies”. She added that she knows all the lyrics to Wonder’s songs. “So we dropped her vocals in”. The First Lady and James Corden was joined in by Missy Elliot popping from the back seat in the vehicle. This week’s segment, featuring First Lady Michelle Obama, might take the cake for being the most exciting, though.
