OnePlus 3 Soft Gold Variant to Arrive Tomorrow, July 26

OnePlus began grabbing headlines in 2014, when it launched its first smartphone, for a couple of reasons: first, the OnePlus One delivered flagship specs for significantly less cash, and second, the Chinese company made the “flagship killer” desirable by introducing an invite system that made the OnePlus One harder to get hold of than other smartphones. OnePlus claims it chose a more subdued gold color to avoid being too gaudy. Hopefully, the actual device is as good as the renders lead us to believe.
Following last week’s teaser, OnePlus today revealed when the Soft Gold OnePlus 3 will officially launch. “We’ve toned the color down for a light, elegant look.” . I’m not sure how any sand can be silky soft, but okay. Considering it’s not sold directly in most stores, that means either buying one already or hoping for a OnePlus pop-up store event.

OnePlus though has warned stocks of the soft gold version will be limited owing to the heavy demand for the same. The OnePlus 3, for instance, has a unibody design cut from a single block of aluminium, which is the sort of thing you’d expect from HTC or Apple. Well, customers will have to wait a bit. However, OnePlus did announce another hue, namely Soft Gold. It packs in a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset, 6GB RAM and 5.5 Full HD Optic AMOLED display, all powered by a 3,000 mAh battery.
