Sanders’ delegates from Western New York are in a state of turmoil
Bernie Sanders sent a firm message to his supporters who are in Philadelphia for the 2016 Democratic National Convention: “Do not protest”. Tim Kaine, Clinton’s newly announced running mate.

Pulling herself is ready to be with Clinton.
But he might not have heard from Michele Horne, a Sanders delegate from the 5th Congressional district who said after the convention she would dedicate her efforts to electing Democrats at the state and local levels rather than try to turn SC “blue”.
In Virginia and Washington, even among Republicans, Kaine has a reputation as a straight shooter and a “nice guy”-the phrase that Sanders used to describe him on Sunday”.
“Everyone kind of knew (the Democratic Party was against Bernie Sanders), but that doesn’t mean it will change now that it’s proven”.
But as Russell implored the Sanders delegates, saying “We will always have a voice in the Clinton administration”, Netherton and other Sanders delegates booed and yelled “Nooo!” “He says we’ve got to defeat Trump”, said Lawrence Hamm, a Sanders delegate from Montclair, New Jersey.
At times booing and other times cheering “Bernie!” the supporters set the convention off to a more discordant note than usual.
Donald Trump on Monday dismissed as a “joke” claims by Hillary Clinton’s campaign that Russian Federation is trying to help Trump by leaking thousands of emails from the Democratic National Committee.
Monday’s mood might also have reflected some deference to state party chairman Jaime Harrison, who earlier in the day beseeched delegates to keep it together in public and not become a national spectacle.
“Hillary Clinton will make an outstanding president and I am proud to stand with her here tonight”, he said.
They were true to their word: On Monday night, the delegates at the Democratic National Convention approved the party’s platform, leaving the compromises between Sanders and Clinton intact. It came at a crucial moment for Clinton’s campaign, on the heels of leaked emails suggesting the party had favored the former secretary of state through the primaries despite a vow of neutrality. “And they’re making a bad name”. I also believe the activists who are part of the core Sanders efforts, will be working their way up the hierarchy and will be part of the Democratic leadership.
As Hillary Clinton accepts the Democratic nomination for president in Philadelphia, WSJ’s Gerald F. Seib discusses her choice to make the convention about why voters should pick her or why they should not vote for Donald Trump. He stunned the Clinton campaign with his broad support among young people and liberals, as well as his online fundraising prowess. Most importantly, the reaction from both the DNC and Sanders’ supporters clearly shows a divide that looks to be equally problematic as the divide within the Republican Party.
After the initial outbursts on the floor, Sanders, who would close the night with a generous attempt at unity, pleaded during the afternoon with his supporters by text and email to desist.

As one speaker was imploring party unity from the dais, Kim Netherton, 31, a Sanders delegate from Colorado yelled out “Bulls-t!” According to a source close to the campaign, “The Clinton campaign is legitimately really anxious that this is a big story and that they will not be able to control the protestors”. But coming on top of Wasserman Schultz’s abrupt departure-just hours before the Convention began, her presiding role was scrapped, and Stephanie Rawlings-Blake, the mayor of Baltimore, stepped in to call the convention to order-the fury of Sanders’s backers certainly added an element of drama to what most commentators had expected to be a fairly tame Convention. “We’re going to have a convention this week that highlights success stories”. “We’re all here to be Bernie Sanders delegates”. Those hackers took at least a year’s worth of detailed chats, emails and research on Trump, according to a person knowledgeable of the breach who wasn’t authorized to speak publicly about the matter.
