Sanders to supporters: Don’t protest at DNC
“Trump is a bully and a demagogue”, he said. “Trump’s entire campaign just one one more great late-night Trump infomercial”, where the “the great Trump hot-air machine will reveal all the answers”, and as a bonus, “he’ll even throw in a goofy hat”.

Cohen, a former state senator from New Castle, said fellow Sanders delegates in Philadelphia for the party convention remain outraged. Trump is a danger for the future of our country and must be defeated.
As the convention began in sweltering Philadelphia, the DNC released a statement apologizing to Sanders and his supporters “for the inexcusable remarks made over email”. Hickenlooper was a finalist for Clinton’s running mate but ultimately Clinton selected Virginia Sen.
“We feel alienated by the Clinton campaign”, he said.

Their frustration was on display a day after Democratic party chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz announced she would step down at the end of the convention.
Sanders told delegates in a prime-time address no one is more disappointed than he is over not being the nominee, yet told supporters to take “enormous pride” in the revolution that has formed.
Solomon, whose group communicates with 1,250 Sanders delegates, said supporters were weighing a number of floor protest actions this week. “She has to prove that she has walked the talk”, said Eric Reynolds, a Sanders delegate from Contra Costa County in California.
Bernie Sanders put Democrats on notice Monday that he’s not just hoping to influence Washington’s agenda under the next president – he’s got his eye on this fall’s “lame duck” session of Congress.
At a meeting of the DNC credentials committee Sunday, comments praising Wasserman Schultz were met with laughter by some Sanders supporters.
The spouse of a presidential nominee always gets some love at a party convention.
Former rivals Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders urgently joined forces Monday to tamp down dissent among his supporters, as Democrats tried to keep infighting from overtaking a convention opening night featuring some of the party’s biggest stars.
Sawyer Neale, a 19-year-old Sanders delegate from Dauphin County, said he chose to become a Sanders delegate because he believes the US senator from Vermont made single-payer health care, criminal justice reform and income equality higher-profile issues. “He brought that about, and, I think, that’s healthy”.
But Sanders also had ideas – about campaign finance reform and free trade and college debt – and a willingness to sell them relentlessly. Many of them are already posting pictures from inside the convention hall.
Democratic delegates said it was time to come together. “A government based on the principles of economic, social, racial and environmental justice”.
Franken noted that because he was a Clinton backer and Silverman was with Sanders, they were forming a bridge.
On Monday morning, Wasserman Schultz struggled to be heard above boos as she spoke to the delegation from her home state.
Delegates will soon have to decide whether to embrace Sanders’ endorsement of Clinton.
“Will I be very active in this campaign?”
Other speakers Monday evening included First Lady Michelle Obama and Sen. If the DNC wanted to bury Sanders, imagine what party officials were emailing about Warren, who refused to endorse Clinton for months.
Sanders has endorsed Clinton, so a roll call could be a way of showing his strength, and letting his supporters have the floor and a vote.

The campaign said the commission will tackle caucus and primary reforms created to make the nominating process fairer.
