Emery wants new striker at PSG
Such a scenario isn’t something the Paris Saint-Germain head coach can assure though, he doesn’t want to “dispense with great footballers” such as Blaise Matuidi though.

Reports emerged during the recently concluded Euros that Matuidi left France during the tournament in order to talk to an unnamed club in England and, while he admits the situation could change in future, he hopes to keep hold of the 29-year-old for now.
Sunday saw him in charge of his new side for the second time as they defeated Inter Milan 3-1 in the International Champions Cup in Oregon.
Manchester United have been the most heavily linked with a move, but are focusing their efforts and funds on Matuidi’s compatriot Paul Pogba, who’s set to cost upwards of nine figures.
And while the new manager insists the France worldwide is still very much a part of his plans ahead of the 2016-17 season, he admits the player could still leave.
“Matuidi is a fantastic footballer and he belongs to PSG”, Emery told reporters during a conference call. As a coach, I’m behind him and I await his return to the team.
“Logically, I will not go without great players. The circumstances could change that, but in principle, it’s not what I want”.
During five years with PSG, he has made 237 appearances in all competitions for the club, whilst helping them to win the Ligue 1 title for the last four consecutive years.

Sources told ESPN earlier this month that Manchester United are interested in France global Matuidi, who is yet to return to preseason training following his participation in Euro 2016.
