Sam Allardyce unveiled as England manager
“These young players have had a lot of experience now, even though some of those experiences have been pretty bitter”.

“Potential is not a word I want to use, you want the quality player to produce his best performances immediately”.
I think we need to be more adaptable.
While the 61-year-old remains confident that he has the experience and knowledge to be a success in the top job in English football, time will tell whether or not he’s the right appointment to succeed Roy Hodgson.
Sam Allardyce at Boleyn Ground, London, April 19, 2014.
The new Three Lions boss reported to the national football centre for his first day in the job on Monday, where he met FA staff and the media.
“I think that it was 10 years since I was last interviewed and to sit here is a huge thrill for me”, he said.
Although he reminded England’s players not to lose sight that playing for their country is as good as it gets, he urged them to relax more.
“The individual is very important, the bonding of the team is exceptionally important and also to have some fun”.
“I saved clubs and never got relegated, and they are not the same as winning the FA Cup or League Cup, but they are big achievements”. We have to try to get everyone to enjoy themselves.
He says it his priority to “make sure that we’re challenging the players” by “giving them competition”.
He also went on to discuss his management style: “I think that choosing styles or systems depends on the players available and then who we’re playing”.
New England manager Sam Allardyce will take his time before deciding if Wayne Rooney continues as captain.
Allardyce has previously managed Bolton Wanderers, Newcastle United, Blackburn Rovers and West Ham United, but much of his coaching career has been spent scrapping in the bottom half of the table rather than challenging for Premier League titles.
Allardyce said: “Style of play has always been a tag for me that I can’t shake in terms of everybody thinks it’s this style or that style”. “I’d describe my style as pragmatic. So I can only do that with everybody who works for me and works around me”.
Goals from Fabio Borini and Charles N’Zogbia gave them the win ahead of their pre-season trip to the continent, and Moyes is relishing meeting up with his new players.

“Who we play against will determine how we play”. The former Sunderland manager might not play brilliant football but he does bring in effective football and fans would expect the side to be favourites for the 2018 World Cup. I’m hardened over many, many years.
