US polls: Hilary Clinton’s favorability declines

“Since Day One, we’ve scheduled in a reasonable major with the use of Hillary herself attempting to generate every decision and, in the end, the nomination”.

“He was so close to Beau and it was so heartbreaking that, frankly, I thought initially he wouldn’t have the heart”, Boston lawyer Michael Thornton, a Biden supporter, was quoted by the report as saying.

Still, it’s probably fair to say that most of Democratic Hollywood holds Biden in the same affectionate regard as the party’s liberal mainstream, which respects him as one of the party’s “stand up guys” and admires his social liberalism and moderate foreign policy savvy.

“I think the majority are leaning toward Hillary now, although Bernie certainly has a strong following, a growing following”, Young-Otterstrom said.

But pressed on whether Biden should actually jump into the race, a dozen Democratic members said that it would be a personal decision for the vice president, and left it at that.

Joe Biden has entered the 2016 conversation again.

The renewed focus on Biden comes amid some signs of weakness for Clinton, including declines in her favorability ratings among voters in recent polling. Biden’s son, Beau, died of brain cancer in May. Some Democratic strategists have said there is room in the field for Biden, who could present a credible alternative to the frontrunner, Hillary Clinton. Biden’s associates have resumed discussions about a possible 2016 presidential run after largely putting aside such deliberations during his son’s illness and following his death earlier this year.

(The poll also was conducted before the increased speculation that Vice President Joe Biden might make his own White House bid, and he wasn’t included in the poll.).

When Biden ran for president in 2008, for example, he raised about $8.6 million before dropping out, following a poor performance in Iowa.

Clinton has visited the Rio Grande Valley several times in the past few years, but Friday’s visit marks her first to the Valley since announcing her candidacy for president in April.

On Monday night, Graham called on Clinton’s infidelity to suggest Hillary Clinton could not be trusted in the White House. Staff for Sen. Chris Coons tell WBOC he is remaining neutral though he says Biden enjoys a unique level of experience and respect. Though Clinton has spent decades on the American political stage, her team insists that voters dont really know much about her background.

But Mrs. Clinton’s allies do not hide their annoyance at the implication by Mr. Biden’s advisers and supporters that she is vulnerable, and ripe for a challenge from the vice president.
