But arachnologist- spider experts then found out that “Tetragnatha guatemalensis” a type of spider is known for building communal nests when conditions are in their favor and these were responsible for the 2007 find out. Spiders don’t communicate and build massive nests. He goes on to say, “There is a surreal quality to the extensive webbing covering these trees”.
There is an “eerie” sight for people traveling down the CA Roan Drive in Rowlett recently. According to AgriLife Today, the massive web was strung up in the forest surrounding a local lake where the spiders are working together to trap insects.
Merchant suggests that a reasonable person’s first instinct when confront with this many spiders – to run away or burn everything down – is wrong.
Thousands of spiders joining forces to build webs tall enough to cover trees may sound like something straight out of a horror movie, but that’s exactly what’s happening in Rowlett, Texas. In the case of the 2007 discovery the spiders seemed to be involved in a communal project which was meant to encourage the specie’s cooperation.
Many arachnologists and others consider these nests natural works of art, he said.
“Arachnologists had previously noted that this species is known to build communal nests when conditions are right”, he said.
Arachnophobia is the fear of spiders, and it is ultimately real as these creatures have been among the top scariest species living on the planet.

A spider web in Texas is so abnormally huge that it has turned a road into a creepy scenery taken out of a horror movie. They don’t bite and aren’t hazardous. As you can see by this latest event, they can sometimes be social and share webs with other species of spider and sometimes even insects, when they’re not devouring them. The entomologist encourages residents to admire the “artwork”, adding “you may want to take a few moments to stop and admire the spider handiwork (while driving along the CA Roan Drive)”. Human intervention via insecticides or other forms of treatment is unnecessary, because the spider-webs are an awe-inspiring sight, casting aside its spookiness. “But please don’t touch the art”.
