Nissan Titan & Titan XD Ditches The Crew
With their NV models, the automaker’s been doing a healthy fleet business; it only makes sense that they’d offer a work truck to serve alongside the vans and allow their customers to one-stop shop. The single cab trucks can be had in 4×2 or 4×4 versions.

Nissan is expanding its Titan full-size pickup truck lineup for 2017 with a new single cab model largely aimed at commercial users.
When properly equipped, the Titan XD Single Cab can tow a 12,640 pound trailer compared to 12,314 for the Crew Cab. The same engine and gearbox can be had on the XD as well, alongside the 5.0-liter diesel V8 by Cummins packing 310 horsepower (231.2 kW) and 555 pound-feet of torque (753 Nm), though the latter is mated to a six speed automatic. “More importantly, the Titan XD and Titan single cabs will have the power, torque, heavy duty chassis and durability demanded by today’s demanding worksites – including the highest towing capacities and payloads in the lineup”. The single cab (XD or otherwise) actually features about 300 pounds of additional payload rating, and trailer towing is up by about 300 pounds, as well.
The Titan Single Cab is Nissan’s first single-cab Titan, offering just a single row of seating.

Nissan will ultimately offer the Titan Single Cab with three cabs, three bed lengths, three engines, 4×4 and 4×2 drive and S, SV, SL, PRO-4X and Platinum Reserve trim levels. However, the Titan XD Single Cab checks in at 231 inches from head to toe, almost a foot shorter overall than the Titan XD Crew Cab. Optional on the base Titan and standard on the Titan XD is a 5.6-liter V-8 rated at 390 horsepower.
