Chris Bosh Camp ‘Angry and Suspicious of Heat’s Intentions’
However, the Heat have held off since they are the ones with the contract and want to ensure any players’ health issues are safeguarded in a contact sport.

The Heat have hired multiple independent doctors who have yet to clear Bosh to resume physical exertion while on blood thinners. The concern is that the team could be trying to keep Bosh sidelined in an attempt to clear cap space if his injury is eventually deemed serious enough to be career-ending. “Pat Riley said the Heat won’t make a decision on Bosh’s status until August or September”. As we reported last month, the Heat rejected that idea late this past season, angering Bosh. Bosh had proposed to the organization that he take the medication far enough in advance of games-eight to 12 hours before-so that the blood thinners are out of his system by the time he plays, and therefore not threatening to his health.
While Bosh’s determination to get back to playing and pick up from where he left off is admirable, his condition is preventing him from it. In a column written by Barry Jackson for the Miami Herald, Bosh is now on blood thinners for his condition and being under such medication could be a hindrance to him playing.
This setback kept Miami’s 32-year-old forward from completing the 2015-16 season and forced the 48-34 Miami Heat to enter the highly-competitive 2016 NBA Eastern Conference Playoffs without their veteran leader under the basket.
While the Heat no doubt want to make sure Bosh isn’t at risk down the road, they also would like to have some flexibility in how they manage their roster moving forward.
Now, Bosh and the Heat family are facing, arguably, the biggest challenge in their long and illustrious history: a pulmonary embolism.
If Bosh comes off the medication this summer, there’s no reason why he couldn’t play. There are speculations that Chris may file a complaint with the players association if management does not allow him to play. They would still have to pay the two-time champion his full salary, it just wouldn’t count toward the cap.
