After months of frightful zombie-drama anticipation, fans of AMC’s The Walking Dead were treated to a veritable buffet of awesome reveals at the show’s San Diego Comic-Con panel event on Friday, July 22 – the most important, of course, being the incredible season 7 trailer and an official air date for the premiere. In the 100th issue of The Walking Dead, Negan beats Glen to death with Lucille, but after last season’s fake death that actor Steven Yeun had to keep quiet, the show could pivot into the unexpected and off someone else.

The trailer culminates in our first look at The Kingdom’s leader Ezekiel (Khary Payton) as well as his pet tiger who doesn’t seem too friendly (still, we’d take it over Negan).

The newest cast member of “The Walking Dead” spin-off was introduced to the zombie drama franchise in an overwhelming way. Indeed, this isn’t The Walking Dead of yesteryear.
Of course that opening segment will reveal who got the business end of Negan’s barbed wire-wrapped bat and deal with the aftermath of that.
– Lincoln remarked that his mom is a big fan of the show and even gives him notes on his performance.
The seventh season of The Walking Dead returns this fall, with new episodes set to premiere in October on AMC.
