Hulu is beginning to really ramp up their original content, with the acquisition of The Mindy Project (after FOX cancelled it) and several upcoming shows like The Way (starring Breaking Bad’s Aaron Paul, Hannibal’s Hugh Dancy and True Detective’s Michelle Monaghan) and the event series 11/22/63, based on the Stephen King novel, from executive producer J.J. Abrams and starring James Franco.

It’s an increasingly common story, but still a novelty that beloved, if low-rated, shows can survive thanks to the proliferation of platforms on which to watch television.

The procedure will apply to “The Mindy Project“, which joins Hulu fold for its fourth season after being canned by Fox, as well as “Casual”, “The Hotwives of Las Vegas”, “The Awesomes” and “RocketJump: The Show”.

The Mindy Project” stars Mindy Kaling, Ike Barinholtz and Chris Messina speak onstage during at a TCA panel. So what’s going to happen with the show? “The freedom of trying to say a joke and not have to neuter it or soften it”, is refreshing, Warburton said.

“Maybe I’m old-fashioned, but I like the idea of the Christmas episode airing in December”, said Mindy Kaling.

“We explore what it would be like if she’d never fallen in love with Danny”, Kaling said. “I’m so greateful”, she said.

Beth Grant (Beverly) assured reporters, “They have promised me sex” this season.

The drip-drop approach is more akin to traditional TV scheduling as opposed to the all-at-once method that has become the standard on streaming services such as Netflix and Amazon. As we told you before, he’ll actually be playing a show producer, who is Mindy’s husband – in the “Sliding Door” version of her life.
