Megyn Kelly Dismisses Debate Criticisms: ‘If You Can’t Get Past Me…’

Whether or not you agree with the assessment of the Taiwanese Animators that Donald Trump won Thursday’s Republican presidential debate in Cleveland, I think we can all agree that their video is quite amusing in a vaudvillian sort of way.

Erickson said in a Facebook statement that in a CNN interview Trump said of Kelly: “You could see there was blood coming out of her eyes”.

Of blogger Erick Erickson’s decision to revoke Trump’s invitation to the weekend’s conservative RedState Gathering, Trump said Sunday: “This guy’s a loser”. Do we want to insult 53% of all voters?

ERICKSON: I think – well, he also called me weak and pathetic.

In a statement, Trump maintained that “only a deviant” would interpret his comments that way.

WERTHEIMER: So what is your response to him calling you a loser?

Carly Fiorina, the former Hewlett-Packard CEO, wrote, “I stand with @megynkelly” and “Mr. Trump: There. Is”. They saw him in action in the debate on Thursday, bloviating as he usually does, whining and insulting Megyn Kelly even during the debate.

“I said nothing wrong”, said Trump, who spoke to four Sunday news shows, skipping only Fox News, the network with which he is feuding.

An exasperated Mike Huckabee had enough of the seemingly endless Trump questions. When he got another, the former Arkansas governor quipped: “I’m running for president“. “On social media, I’m the one that’s beloved”.

Fox News’ Megyn Kelly opened up for the first time this morning about all the criticism she and Fox have gotten about last week’s Republican debate, talking with MediaBuzz host Howard Kurtz. “The point is women understood that comment and yes it is offensive”, she said.

“So manypolitically correct” fools in our country”. “We’re going to take a very serious look at it”.

So will Trump’s praise of socialist health care hurt him in the GOP primary?

“How will you answer the charge from Hillary Clinton, who is likely to be the Democratic nominee, that you are part of the war on women?” she asked.

The flap is just the latest from Trump’s unconventional, insurgent campaign, which has excited many anti-establishment conservatives while confounding party leaders already facing the prospects of a bruising fight among 17 candidates.

The following night, Trump went after Kelly in a CNN interview where he seemed to suggest she was being tough on him because she had her period. “I like Bobby Jindal a lot“. And in recent weeks, Bush has on several occasions differentiated Trump from his backers, whom he calls “good people“.

Maher told his guests, who included Republican strategists Mary Matalin and Steve Schmidt – neither of whom gave full-throated support to the real-estate mogul – that Trump shouldn’t be underestimated, and compared the current front-runner with Ronald Reagan circa 1968.

Also on Sunday, he said on ABC’s This Week: “I’ve had such an unbelievable relationship with women in business”. Stone denied being fired, saying he resigned over the direction of Trump’s campaign.

Wallace, Kelley and Baier will use a combination of their own questions, audience questions and data obtained by debate partner Facebook to grill candidates on various matters of public interest.
