Google Phone App Now Features Spam Protection

Open the Phone app tap the three-dot More icon Caller ID & spam protection use the toggle to turn the feature Off or back On if you later change your mind. The tech giant is finally giving users of Nexus and Android One devices the power to block and report spam calls directly from the default (and new version) of the Phone app. With this update, Google Phone app users will not only recognise a spma call, but would also be able to block and report the particular number. Google knows you’re annoyed by them that’s why it has added a special spam protection for your Android smartphone.

The Phone app on those devices will now warn users when a phone call might be spam. But if it was a case of mistaken identity, and the “spam” call was actually from a valid caller, you can report that it was wrongly labelled as spam.

We’ve all received either spam or marketing calls that are unsolicited. Some data usage will be required to recognize these unwanted calls.

This will definitely be a big help in the fight against these unscrupulous calls but it will be exclusive to Google partnered Nexus and Android One handsets for now.

The app is available for download, free, here. Do not call lists are helpful, but they’re far from foolproof. Till now there is no word from Google about the release of this application for Android smartphones other than the Nexus and Android One.

For the goal of detecting the site for it, all you have to do is to unbolt the Phone application, hit the 3-dot list of options knob for additional choices, and afterward strike on the Caller ID and spam defense segment. For the beginners to use this feature it will be little hard but once you get habituated this is going to be a very convenient feature.
