Donald Trump Climbs Six Points in One Week After RNC

Americans now favor Republican Donald Trump over Democrat Hillary Clinton by a significant margin according to a new CNN/ORC poll, which attributes Trump’s jump in popularity to the recently concluded Republican Convention. With the Democratic National Convention set to commence Monday, the odds may return to side with Clinton.

This was not a campaign rally for Clinton.

Even if you have not been paying attention to this election, but have read or watched mainstream media outlets, you might think women hate Republican Presidential Nominee Donald Trump.

“Our debt to you is eternal”, Trump said to the veterans, shortly after his introduction around 9:40 a.m. But we’re not going to lose $500 billion. “Gives us the chance to speak up for the veterans and the support that’s needed for every program for the veterans themselves”. We don’t usually spend a lot of time writing about the now-cast because – uhh, breaking news – the election is scheduled for November 8.

The former secretary of state also critiqued Trump for what she believes is his negative view of the country.

“Although Hillary Clinton was cleared of charges in the investigation of her deleted emails, her actions were described by the FBI as ‘extremely reckless.’ However in her defense, the report pointed out that she was Hillary reckless, not Bill reckless”. “Finding common ground when we can and standing our ground when we must”.

Some veterans at the convention said they’re exhausted of pledges and empty promises.

Clinton touched on issues close to many veterans such as reforming the VA and veteran homelessness.

Bob Vander Plaats, the chief executive of the Family Leader, a delegate here who supported Cruz, suggested that it wasn’t so important that people leave Cleveland united, but that the convention laid a foundation. “Better certifications and credentialing programs so that the work veterans did on active duty will be understood and respected as they compete for the jobs in the civilian sector that they deserve to be considered for and hired to perform”, said Clinton.

In all of these categories Clinton’s ratings have fallen, with a whopping 68% of Americans now saying that Clinton is dishonest and not trustworthy, her worst rating ever in CNN/ORC polling.

“Top Secrets? I don’t think she should be allowed to handle Pop Secret”.

“I am a supporter of hers”, said John Metzger, an Army Veteran from IL.

“I thought she was very smooth”.

“Little did she know that China, Russia – one of our many, many friends – came in and hacked the hell out of us”, Trump said sarcastically, framing the words “friends” in air quotes.

“Just look at her invasion of Libya and her handling of Benghazi – a disaster”, he told the crowd. It’s hard to know what to expect out of the Democratic convention – I could tick off a half-dozen reasons why I’d expect Clinton to get a relatively large bounce, and another half-dozen why it might be quite small. Clinton’s team is savvier and experienced, having been running for national office since 1992. Up to 5,000 people are expected to attend the event.
