Burhan Wani was the leader of banned rebel group Hizbul Mujahideen, one of several fighting some 500,000 Indian troops deployed in the region since 1989, demanding independence or a merger of the territory with Pakistan.
The high commission is located deep inside Islamabad’s fortified diplomatic enclave, while the ISOI is 11km away on the outskirts of the city. “We condemn and lament the criminal silence and inaction of the Indian Government and Cultural icons of India”, says the post.
According to officials, there are about 60 school-going children of Indian officials, who are now posted in Indian mission in Islamabad.
“What it means is that no Indian official based in Pakistan can have his or her children living with them”.
According to Facebook data, India ranks second only to the USA for the number of requests for user data and content restriction made every year to the company.
The campuses are closed right now for summer vacation and would open next month.
“Government and the people of Pakistan remain firmly committed in their moral, diplomatic and political support to the Kashmiris’ indigenous movement for self-determination and resolution of the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the relevant UN Security Council Resolutions on Kashmir”.
SRINAGAR: The Indian government said Sunday that Pakistan should stop provoking unrest in the Indian-controlled portion of the disputed Kashmir region, appealing for calm and restraint by people and government forces after two weeks of bloody protests that have left dozens of civilians dead. He said that there are number of cases of committing murder of army/security personnel and pro-India elements and instrumental in migration of Kashmiri Pandits and other minority communities, against them. Officials who joined the mission after June 2015 were not allowed to take their children with them from India.
New Delhi and Islamabad both claim the region in full, but rule parts of it.
This is a move that signals how starined the relations between the two countries have become.

This virtually means downgrading Islamabad to a “non-school-going station”. India asked Pakistan last week to ensure the safety of its officials and their families stationed in Islamabad in view of threats from marches and protests outside the high commission.
