Hillary Clinton vows to not call Donald Trump names
He says it’s no coincidence the emails are coming out on the eve of the party’s nominating convention in Philadelphia.

“I know that because Hillary knows that we’re stronger together; we’re stronger when we work together, when we grow together, when we pull together, when we live in the same neighborhood and worship together and go to school together”. A May article claimed that if Clinton wins Florida and all the traditionally Democratic states, she’ll win. “And I didn’t, and I take responsibility for that”, she said.
Heading into the convention, Clinton now has 2,814, when including superdelegates, according to an Associated Press count.
Campaign officials argued that Wasserman Schultz had become a lightning rod because of the hacked emails.
Clinton says Trump’s inflammatory insults against immigrants, Muslims, and women are “fundamentally at odds with who we are as a nation [and] where we need to be heading in the future”. Though Hillary Clinton pleaded ignorance, she was quick to disavow the comment.
For Clinton, it was a turbulent start to a historic four-day gathering that will culminate in the nomination of the first woman to lead a major USA political party.
Interviewer Scott Pelley first asked about the controversial plan to question Bernie Sanders’ religion, as expressed in an email by DNC CFO Brad Marshall. She took numerous swipes at Republican Donald Trump, all without mentioning his name.
Clinton campaign officials blamed the hack, which is now being investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, on Russian military intelligence agencies. “I’m going to be picking up the phone”, joked the Clinton, adding, “I’m going to be calling and asking for his advice and so we’re going to put them all to work”.
Clinton is promising a stark contrast to last week’s Republican gathering, an often chaotic affair that featured a heavy dose of pessimism about the economy and national security.
“While Sen. Kaine has been open about his personal reservations about abortion, he’s maintained a 100% pro-choice voting record in the US Senate”, the National Association for the Repeal of Abortion Laws, another abortion rights group, said in a statement Friday.
Not since Ronald Reagan has there been an outgoing incumbent president both who was popular enough to benefit his party’s nominee, and whom the nominee wanted to embrace.
A Clinton official said the convention will highlight Clinton’s years in public service and how she plans to fight for Americans from the White House.
Already, Wasserman Schultz was expected not to preside over the convention as its permanent chairwoman, as had been originally planned. But former Rep. Barney Frank of MA, a co-chairman of the convention’s rules committee, denied that the appointment of Rep. Marcia L. Fudge of OH on Saturday as permanent chairwoman was related to the email controversy. Wasserman Schultz denied the accusation, but was forced out as chief Sunday. Among the delegates, about 15 percent are superdelegates, mainly members of Congress and members of the Democratic National Committee.
Frank noted that if she did not speak, it would be unusual.
Sanders delegates are mulling ways to show support for Sanders during the convention.
Her lead was virtually insurmountable in May – which is when an email got sent from one party official wondering whether someone should slur Sanders as an atheist before votes in the Bible belt.
Brian Clardy, an assistant professor of history at Murray State University, is a delegate for Clinton and months ago had hoped she might pick Minnesota Sen.
They also reveal the prized perks given to the party’s top donors. Sanders had called earlier Sunday for her departure.
“I don’t see how you run for president of the United States if you spend all your time trash-talking the United States”, she told supporters.
Indeed, Obama could very well be the most important figure in the presidential contest between now and Election Day, whether it’s galvanizing Clinton’s supporters or motivating Donald Trump’s. Surveys show a clear majority of former Sanders supporters shifting to Clinton, although it’s an open question whether she’ll get enough of them to turn out on November 8.
Kaine, 58, had always been a favorite for Clinton’s ticket. He is more conservative than I am.
“His political views are not my political views”.
The Trump campaign has found great success in painting Ms Clinton as an establishment candidate who can’t change the US’s fortunes, with some commentators suggesting Ms Clinton’s remarks on 60 Minutes could play into Mr Trump’s hands. Pledging to help Clinton with the ultimate goal of defeating Trump, the self-described democratic socialist encouraged his supporters to follow suit and will speak Monday night here in Philadelphia.

Brazile also was caught up in the leak. “I see it. I understand it”, she said.
