Man Utd target Paul Pogba not worth £86m, says Paul Scholes

Paul Scholes believes Manchester United will be way too much for Paul Pogba, should they sign him from Juventus for a world record transfer fee.

“We set four targets for us, we got three of them and we are going to get the fourth”, Mourinho said, having brought in Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Eric Bailly.

Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri has banned all talk regarding Paul Pogba amid continued speculation over the 23-year-old’s impending move to Manchester United. He played for the first team maybe once or twice, but from my understanding he was asking for too much money. OK, he has gone on to great things.

“I can’t tell you if Pogba is worth that price today but all I know is that he’s an exceptional player”.

Manchester United are very close to signing Paul Pogba and are expected to announce the deal on Thursday at the latest, according to Spanish newspaper AS.

“For that money, you would need a player who scores 50-plus goals a season, like Ronaldo or Messi”.

The Swede is one of the most recognisable players – playing for some of the world’s biggest clubs – but Scholes believes the 34-year-old will have to do more at Old Trafford. I’ve seen a lot of him at Borussia Dortmund.

“I think Gundogan is a really impressive player”, Scholes said.

“We have one space for a midfield player”, the United boss said. We know what the balance is and, I repeat, we are not going to be only focusing on one player.

Despite Juventus rejecting United’s opening bid, Pogba has already agreed personal terms with the Red Devils ahead of the proposed move.

“The only thing I can say is that my board, my directors did fantastic work to do 75 per cent of the job I asked them to do”. “I played with him quite a lot”.
