Sarah Silverman switches from Sanders to Clinton: What did she say?
“To the “Bernie or Bust” people”, she said from the podium at the Wells Fargo Center here in Philadelphia, “you’re being ridiculous”.

Franken noted that because he was a Clinton backer and Silverman was with Sanders, they were forming a bridge.
Silverman – who put her stamp on the 2008 election by urging fellow Jews to convince their Florida grandparents to vote for Obama – also has oodles of sympathy for Bernie.
Silverman was scolding “Bernie or Bust” supporters during her speech, which is what most of the media has been running with today.
“Hillary is our Democratic nominee, and I will proudly vote for her”, she continued. Just a few years ago, she was a secretary and now she’s going to be president.
What did you think of Silverman’s speech?
As Silverman struggled to fill airtime while convention performer Paul Simon prepared his set, however, she aimed her acerbic wit at supporters of the candidate she supported during the primaries. “And a vital part of that movement is making absolutely sure that Hillary Clinton is our next president of the United States”. In an unscripted moment, Silverman chastised those refusing to follow her and Sanders himself in backing Clinton.
Some people waved signs that said “Bernie” or that simply said “no”. For the off-the-cuff remark, Silverman got enough cheers from Clinton supporters to drown out the boos. “Unfortunately, too many Americans from all walks of life don’t get help, whether they fear the stigma or can not afford treatment”, she said.
