Hillary Clinton nominated for President of the United States
DNC chief Debbie Wasserman Schultz stunningly thought she’d still get to speak at the convention, announcing she’d step down when it wrapped.

The President of the Young Alabama Democrats admits these revelations likely will have an impact on the convention.
Sanders was largely praised throughout the roll call vote.
“Last words, I’m feeling that Bernie, I’m feeling that Bern”, she said.
Sanders said he would continue to support Clinton as his main goal was to defeat Trump, Republican presidential candidate.
She “should not be chair of the DNC, and I think these emails reiterate that reason why she should not be chair”, the Vermont senator said.
“Schultz’s emails only put the Democratic Party at risk, but Hillary Clinton’s emails put all of America at risk”, Manafort said.
Sanders has endorsed Clinton, a former first lady and USA senator, but some of his supporters protested in Philadelphia against the party leadership’s apparent backing of her during the bitter Democratic primary fight.
Much of the convention’s second night was being devoted to introducing voters to Mrs Clinton anew, including three hours of speakers highlighting issues she has championed for years, including health care and advocacy for children and families. Sanders himself was booed by some sections of the audience when he told the crowd: “Hillary Clinton will make an outstanding president and I am proud to stand with her tonight”.
There were still delegates holding Sanders signs – and a few anti-Hillary ones – but the oppositon was overshadowed by the historic moment.
Near the end of her speech, Brazile also expressed support for Bernie Sanders.
Mr Trump cheered the disruptions from the campaign trail.
Her resignation from the top of the party, though, adds some drama to what had been expected to be the less exciting of this year’s two major-party conventions.
Earlier, Democratic Party bosses apologised to Mr Sanders for “inexcusable” emails aimed at undermining his White House bid, as they tried to patch up an embarrassing party feud.
Even so, Elizabeth Warren, Sanders himself and Michelle Obama gave Democrats something to cheer about Monday night.
