Modi remembers the soldiers on 17th Kargil Vijay Diwas
Indore: On the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas, city doctors organized “Walk for Fame” in the memory of martyrs and to express honor towards armed forces, on Tuesday.

Former Indian captains and current Test skipper, Virat Kohli remembered the nation’s most challenging war against Pakistan in which a lot of soldiers died to ensure victory of the country.
BJP state unit, president, Tapir Gao, MLAs Tamiyo Taga, Tesam Pongte, party general secretary, Dominic Tadar, Dr. Nirmali Taba spoke in the function.
Dalbir Singh on Monday paid homage to the fearless soldiers who sacrificed their lives while recapturing the hilly regions of Jammu and Kashmir during the 1999 Kargil War. In another tweet, PM said, “India will never forget the fearlessness with which our courageous soldiers gave a befitting & unforgettable reply to the intruders”. “Their heroic sacrifices inspire us”. Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said, “My salute to the victorious Kargil war heroes who sacrificed their lives for our motherland”.
By July, the Indian forces emerged victorious in the war and the Pakistani intruders were completely evicted.
The week-long celebrations included many events involving the local residents, especially the youths and children of Drass and Kargil regions.

Along with the rest of the country, Nagaland observed the 18th Vijay Diwas in honour of Kargil heroes who made supreme sacrifices during the war.
