Ted Cruz says he won’t ‘sit down, shut up’ and endorse Trump

He also was the number 10 most-searched term on Google overnight in the United States.

He adds, “I am not in the habit of supporting people who attack my wife and attack my father”.

Former House Speaker John Boehner of OH, who had compared Cruz to the devil, responded by remarking: “Lucifer is back”, his spokesman said on Twitter. “Don’t come out on stage if you don’t want to be supportive”. Refusing to endorse Trump doesn’t make Cruz a “coward” or, in the words of alleged human Ann Coulter, “a little bitch”; it makes Cruz the last man in the state of OH who has any idea what the hell is going on. He again blasted what he called the unfair trade tactics of competitors like China. They’re not here because they’re planning to vote Republican in November. But Trump, after coming onstage and shaking Pence’s hand, puckered his lips and appeared to go in for a kiss on the forehead of the in governor before both men stopped short and smiled. Cruz spoke at the RNC, where he congratulated Trump on his campaign victory, then spoke about the necessity for freedom and finally stated that Americans should “vote your conscience”. To arrive at the moment when his power was challenged was the Colosseum gesture, but, having arrived, what more could Trump do? Trump himself entered the room, to join his family in V.I.P. seats. Ever the showman, he fed off the energy of the crowd, stepping back to soak in applause and joining the delegates as they chanted, “U-S-A”.

The Trumps refused her offer to resign in the wake of the scandal. “And that’s what I believe the American people are going to be doing also”.

For example, the former model told delegates: “From a young age, my parents impressed on me the values that you work hard for what you want in life; that your word is your bond and you do what you say and keep your promise”. “He’s put a lot of thought and a lot of heart into his speech”. “Among her chief admirers is Wendi Deng, the former Mrs Rupert Murdoch, who enthused in an email to the New York Times: “[Melania’s] a supportive wife, great mother and a lovely person”.

Trump’s night wouldn’t be complete without a disruption, and it faithfully arrived in the form of a protest by the group Code Pink.

“We didn’t know he wasn’t going to endorse Trump, but that wasn’t the point”.

Republicans who have questioned Trump’s grasp of foreign policy reacted with indignation. Sen. Gov. Rick Scott has taken the state in the wrong direction, and there is every reason to think Trump would be even worse for the nation.

By the time he left the stage, the next day’s news story from the convention was cast: It was all about Cruz.

The Daily Wire’s Ben Shapiro has an interesting alternative theory about Ted Cruz’s speech to the Republican National Convention on Wednesday night: the Donald Trump campaign “orchestrated the boos”.

Cruz told a meeting of the Texas delegation Thursday morning that he told Trump that he would not endorse him and that Trump and his campaign knew about the contents of Cruz’s speech in advance.

“And that pledge was not a blanket commitment that, if you go and slander and attack Heidi, that I’m going to nonetheless come like a servile puppy dog and say thank you very much for maligning my wife and my father”, he added. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, addresses the delegates during the third day session of the Republican National Convention in Cleveland, Wednesday, July 20, 2016. “In Donald Trump’s America, the federal government solves every problem, and it’s solved by the decisions of the ‘Maximum Leader'”.

Trump blamed Cruz for an anti-Trump ad including a nude photo of Melania – a charge Cruz denied.

“I love the media”, Trump joked. Hardly any black people can possibly have enjoyed those speeches, but they weren’t meant to.

When Trump finally wrapped up – “I will fight for you, and I will win for you!” – the balloons cascaded down on the crowd.
