Trump convention speech to blame Clinton for crime, violence
Confidently addressing the finale of his party’s less-than-smooth national convention, the billionaire businessman declared the nation’s problems too staggering to be fixed within the confines of traditional politics.

The younger Trump noted she’s worked with her father for more than a decade and seen him hire people from “all walks of life”.
Trump will also double down on his promises to provide tax relief for business and renegotiate trade deals, ushering in more protectionist policies that are not typically hallmarks of the GOP platform – and that his own running mate, Indiana Gov. Mike Pence, has opposed.
But it certainly added to some of the chaos and controversy at the convention in Cleveland, Ohio.
He recently hedged on normally sacrosanct support for North Atlantic Treaty Organisation allies, warning it would depend “if they fulfill their commitments to us”.
Ralph Winnie, an alternate delegate for the state of Hawaii, told Xinhua that Trump needs to get over 90 percent of the Republican vote. The evening speeches this week haven’t been particularly fun to watch, nor have they succeeded in presenting any sort of coherent message about Trump or his agenda. Trump shouted throughout as he read off a teleprompter, showing few flashes of humor or even a smile. “We certainly don’t want Hillary Clinton”.
“This is the legacy of Hillary Clinton: death, destruction, terrorism and weakness. My plan is the exact opposite of the radical and risky immigration policy of Hillary Clinton”, he said. “But Hillary Clinton’s legacy does not have to be America’s legacy”. “Beginning on January 20, 2017, safety will be restored”, Trump will say.
Trump is expected to stick with some of his most contentious proposals, including his call for building a wall on the Mexican border.
This year, the disconnect between the two conventions seemed more pronounced, several lobbyists and activists said, and some parties were more subdued. So to every parent who dreams for their child, and every child who dreams for their future, I say these words to you tonight: “I’m with you, I will fight for you, and I will win for you”. Amid the rubble, Cruz will emerge as the leader of chaste conservatives who didn’t abase themselves by acquiescing to Trump. The women said they’d burn the shirts later.
The Republican convention – all you need to know Media captionWhat’s the point of a party convention anyway?
Closing the four-day convention in Cleveland, Trump pledged that as president he’ll end crime and violence around the country, and said he would speak for those who don’t feel they are heard by government.
“Ted Cruz tried to blow it up”, said Sen.
His speech lasted for 75 minutes, beating out former President Bill Clinton’s acceptance speech at his party’s convention in 1996.
He would roll back federal regulations that he said cost the country $US2 trillion ($A2.67 trillion) a year, providing new wealth that will allow an upsurge in spending to fix roads, bridges, airports and tunnels.
Democrats, Republicans and global partners warned of the risks of backing away from North Atlantic Treaty Organisation obligations.
“As long as we are led by politicians who will not put ‘America First, ‘ then we can be assured that other nations will not treat America with respect”, Trump says, according to excerpts released ahead of his address.

He had promised to describe “major, major” tax cuts.
