Conservatives, liberals and celebrities praise Michelle Obama’s speech
In order to illustrate the point that the election should transcend the party divisions now stirring Democrats, Obama recalled a simple but telling moment her husband shared with a little boy.

Obama’s husband, President Barack Obama, for years has drawn praise for his oratorical skills.
An indication of how divided they are came as Michelle Obama was followed by the Jim Anderton of American politics, Bernie Sanders, who stood for a full four minutes before he could get a word in above the applause, and delayed endorsing Clinton until he was thirteen minutes into licking his own wounds.
Her powerful and emotional speech is already being called, by some, one of the best speeches in Democratic National Convention history.
It’s not easy to get up in front of the country and singularly remind everyone of exactly why being an American is something to be proud of.
Check out Siriano’s design – and watch Michelle Obama’s excellent speech at the DNC – in the video above. She said, “We can not sit back and hope that everything works out for the best, we can not afford to be exhausted or frustrated or cynical”.
But first, the wife and mother who lives in the White House criticized Donald Trump, who spent a lot of time before he ran for president pushing the storyline that President Obama wasn’t born in the United States. You felt her energy.
ABC’s Matt Dowd said that she “unified the crowd”. They’re good on TV.
Her speech went viral, prompting hashtags like #MichelleforPresident to trend on Twitter.
She shared another touching story about bringing up Malia, 18, and Sasha, 15, in the public eye and recalled the first day she sent them off to school in 2009 after the Obamas moved into the White House.
She said that “because of Hillary Clinton, my daughters can take it for granted that a woman can be president”.
Obama then delivered a passionate endorsement of Hillary Clinton.
“With every action we take we know our kids are watching us”, Obama, sporting a stunning turquoise dress, said. And though Michelle Obama may be at equal risk of outperforming Clinton on the campaign trail, she also demonstrated she can appeal to minority voters in a way the former secretary of state cannot. She provides hope for young girls who hope to one day aspire to be in such a position of power, and her relationship with President Obama shows that, well, love is real. Her clear criticisms of Donald Trump and his campaign did not include Trump’s name.

Trump’s political slogan is “Make America Great Again”. “Kennedy pointed to the moon from Seneca Falls to those who stood at Stonewall Inn, giants before us said in a chorus of conviction, America, we will rise”, he said. “Over the back wall, ball in orbit”, he said.
