Browns’ oft-suspended Gordon has quadriceps injury
Gordon returned to Browns headquarters Tuesday but a quadriceps injury will keep him from practicing for at least a couple of weeks, according to the team.

Gordon officially was added to the roster Tuesday, a day after being reinstated by the National Football League on a conditional basis from a one-year suspension.
Reports out of Berea indicate that Gordon met with Browns head coach Hue Jackson, EVP of football operations Sashi Brown and other members of the Browns front office on Tuesday to discuss guidelines and expectations for the upcoming season. Gordon will be serving a four-game suspension at the start of the season before he is allowed to play for the Browns.
Gordon reported to camp Tuesday when the quad injury was revealed during a physical.
The news about Haden was expected, but the injury sustained by Gordon comes as a surprise. However, Gordon has been in a tailspin since then and the Browns have patiently waited for him to be cleared.
The injury won’t help Gordon’s standing with the Browns or their fans, many of whom are wondering why the team doesn’t move on from a player who has been little more than a distraction for several years.
If everything goes as planned, Cleveland Browns receiver Josh Gordon will join New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady in their season debut in the fifth game of the 2016 regular season.
Another big name landed on an injury list as cornerback Joe Haden will open camp on the active/physical unable to perform list due to his recovery from ankle surgery. Haden continues to rehab from surgery in March. He started only five games previous year before suffering his second concussion and being shut down and is determined to return to his Pro Bowl form of 2013 and ’14. He’s missed 27 of the team’s last 32 games.

Rookie tight end Seth DeValve (hamstring), a fourth-round draft pick, is also on the PUP list.
