Ted Cruz showed courage by not endorsing Trump
Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, right, greets his wife Melania after introducing her during the Republican National Convention, Monday, July 18, 2016, in Cleveland. “I can understand his reluctance to endorse”. “Are you allowed to set up a super PAC, if you are the president, to fight somebody?” Ted Cruz, the victor of the state’s March caucus vote – have been at the center of the contention over the nomination of Trump.

“I don’t know his father”.
The former Apprentice host is expected to stress that he is “your voice” and that while Clinton’s slogan is “I’m With Her”, he will choose to recite a different pledge: “I’m With You – the American People”. “Whatever it is, I don’t think we should do that”. All I did was point out the fact that on the cover of the National Enquirer, there was a picture of him and insane Lee Harvey Oswald having breakfast.
Mr Trump has previously suggested that Mr Cruz’s father was involved in the assassination of John F Kennedy and criticised the appearance of his wife, Heidi. The RNC crowd, of course, is largely filled with Trump supporters.
“I am not in the habit of supporting people who attack my wife and attack my father”, Cruz said. “The only choice is a Trump-Pence Republican ticket”.
Republican Sen. Thom Tillis said in an email response to questions about Cruz: “The Republican convention should not be used as a platform for any Republican leader to put their personal political ambitions ahead of our shared goal of uniting our party to defeat Hillary Clinton and move America in new, more prosperous direction”.
Cruz said that the Trump campaign had seen the speech beforehand, and that he told Trump personally that he would not make an endorsement.
Smith, of Tulsa, said, “Ted Cruz delivered a powerful speech on the principles of freedom and the platform of our party”.
Trump has boosted his efforts to collect online donations as he races to compete with Democrat Hillary Clinton’s well-established fundraising network.
At the same time, Trump said Cruz broke the pledge that all the GOP primary contenders for president made to support the eventual nominee. Mike Lee, R-Utah, said the delegation needs to be “respectful” when Trump accepts the nomination after three days of friction over his nomination, because the state will be in the spotlight. “He walked into that convention hall last night to his box at the exact moment that it was gonna become, it did become clear to everybody that Cruz was not gonna endorse”.

The White House responded to Mr Trump’s comments by saying there should be no mistaking the commitment of the USA to the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation alliance with its European allies.
