Rio hopes fade for Narsingh Yadav as he fails second dope test
The National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA) of India told the 28 years old reigning Asian champion that the positive result on the drug test was due to the usage of a banned steroid.

“The athlete has been notified and given the right to get his B Sample tested”, he said, without identifying the athlete. “The fact that his roommate Sandeep Yadav also failed the test provides us with good reason to back our theory”.
“We have already stated that Narsingh is provisionally suspended and if there is no new development, he would not be able to go to the Olympics”, he said replying to questions.
Narsingh allegedly blamed SAI for planning a conspiracy against him.
“This is a conspiracy against me. Why would someone do such silly things just before the Olympics”, he told IANS over phone.
Earlier in the day, Union Sports Minister Vijay Goel said that Rio doors are nearly shut for Narsingh and it is time for the conspiracy theories to stop. “My sample has been tampered with”, Singh, a gold medal victor at the Asian Athletics Championships past year, said in a statement. He won two medals for India in Previous Olympics. I can’t say on the conspiracy and can’t say whether they did this on their own or on someone’s asking.
NADA has been been educating athletes about doping, even after this if something has happened than law will take it’s own course. Like Narsingh, Inderjeet was the first of the track and field athletes to qualify for Rio, in May past year.
The president of the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) said Yadav was set up and that they would fight for justice, but it appears the timing of the failed test prevented them from fighting in favor of Yadav. “The fact that Narisngh’s teammate at the camp has also tested positive for the same substance, it clearly looks to be a foul play”.
“In one of the tests in May, he tested negative, but he skipped a test in June”.

“Both bottles are sealed in the presence of the athlete and taken from the same sample provided”. We requested them to give us a chance and said that our government is serious on the issue.
