Dolph Ziggler vs. Dean Ambrose For WWE Title Set For SummerSlam

Ziggler won the match after he delivered a superkick to Styles, Wrestling Inc. reported. The two had a face-off in the middle of the ring and Ambrose raises his title in the air.

Ziggler and Ambrose will be the SmackDown main event of SummerSlam next month in Brooklyn.

“WWE SmackDown Live” also featured a match between Becky Lynch vs. Natalya Neidhart, with the former winning the fight.

In a move that likely no one predicted, Dolph Ziggler will go onto SummerSlam to face Dean Ambrose for the WWE championship. After Cena’s disqualification win over Karl Anderson, he was immediately beaten down by Styles along with his stable mates in The Club. We’ll keep you updated on other potential returns. No word yet on when he will be back but he is returning for the RAW brand.

Additionally, the new NXT presence drafted to SmackDown Live – American Alpha, Alexa Bliss, Mojo Rawley, and Carmella – could all be in action tonight as they take their first steps onto the WWE stage.

According to the spokesman, WWE’s talent wellness program “does not apply to part-time performers” like Lesnar, adding that WWE is “show business”.

With the PPV now taking place in September, Mania re-matches won’t be the case, but it is great to see the return of a much-missed show and now instead of the fallout from Mania, it will be the fallout from SummerSlam event. “The time is now if WWE is going to push him at the top”, he explained.
