Paul Pierce Plans On Playing Next Season, But Decision Not Final

Per Brad Turner of the LA Times, Paul Pierce has announced that he will return to the Clippers for the 2016-2017 National Basketball Association season. Another source told Turner that Pierce will make a final decision on returning in a few weeks.
Pierce turns 39 in October and this would be his 19th National Basketball Association season.
Paul Pierce has enjoyed a fantastic NBA career that likely will be remembered in the Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, Mass.

Over the last three seasons, Pierce has averaged 10.6 ppg, 3.8 rpg and shot 42.9 percent from the field. The small forward averaged a career-low 6.1 points in 18.1 minutes per game in his first year with the Clippers. Since the Celtics traded him after the 2012-13 season, Pierce has played one season each in Brooklyn, Washington and Los Angeles.
