Netflix will be releasing the 4-part revival, Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, on Friday, November 25 at 12:01am PT. But that’s not all. Do you need a minute?

Each of the four 90-minute chapters covers each of four seasons of the year.

Of course, all these questions about the many beaus of Rory Gilmore ignore the real love story at the center of the beloved show. Also coming in 2017 is the new original drama Ozark, starring Jason Bateman and Laura Linney. Netflix made the announcement at the Television Critics Association’s press tour in L.A. on Wednesday, July 27, and also offered up a highly anticipated promo video. There are a few stock shots of all the important spots, like Luke’s Diner and the Dragonfly Inn, set to the comfortingly familiar la-las. They’re seated at their kitchen table, as they should be. That’s when we center in on Lorelai and Rory, our Gilmore girls.

Gilmore fans have long gone back and forth over which of Rory’s three key men was best for her over the long haul: hometown hottie Dean, bad boy with a heart of gold Jess Mariano (Milo Ventimiglia) or Yale beau Logan Huntzberger (Matt Czuchry). Lorelai and Rory still look and act exactly the same.

“It feels like it’s been years”, Rory says to her mother.

What would Amy Schumer think of Lorelai?

“Ooh, no. That would not work at all …” The two women still have an ease with one another and a penchant for quirky conversation, and they’re still sipping from mugs that must be full of coffee, which fueled them through more than 150 episodes in the original series.

“There will always be some fans who are unhappy, but I think they’ll be pleased with it”, he said. The answer to that one, though, will just have to wait until November.
