Game of Thrones is HBO’s most popular show, having averaged a whopping 23 million viewers for season six across all platforms, which include initial showings on the pay channel itself, plus repeats and DVR views as well as streaming on HBO’s two digital services, HBO GO and HBO Now.

“I think we’re down to our final 13 episodes after this season”, Benioff said. “We finish shooting in February”, which means that the rigorous post-production work on the show won’t be finished before summer.

This would indicate that season 7 will not be premiering in April and instead could be pushed as far back as June or July 2017 depending on when post-production for the show is done and when HBO’s timeslots are open.

“I feel very proud to play such a strong woman on the show”, Emmanuel said.

Considering the seriousness of the show and the way fans handle each weekly episode, it’s fun to see that behind the scenes things aren’t almost as precarious.

“You would have heard the clang of my jaw hitting the floor the first time I read it”, said Cunningham of reading that scene for the first time. While “Game Of Thrones” Season 7 was initially buzzed to bring a Daenerys Targaryen and Jon Snow hook up, new tease throws Sansa Stark into an S7 love triangle and even Khal Drogo (Jason Momoa) may figure. First, Sophie Turner, who plays Sansa Stark, was ruthless and said that Jon Stow couldn’t run a thing (burn). “But what do I know?”

“I’m not sure she believes Jon is capable of running Winterfell in the north. She thinks he doesn’t have the knowledge, the experience, the intellect that she has”.

It has been confirmed that Game Of Thrones season seven will air later than usual and consist of fewer episodes than in the past.

The other new video released at Comic-Con features footage of the new GoT season against the backdrop of some of the most memorable lines of the previous season, including Cersei’s ascension.

Having just concluded its sixth season, “Game of Thrones” will return to HBO in 2017.

Gold Derby did not forget to mention that Emmys has also recognized guest star Max von Sydow performance and nominated it for the “Game of Thrones” 2016 season six.
