The 22-year-old model turned artist Tali Lennox and her boyfriend, 32-year-old Ian Jones, apparently fell off their kayak Saturday morning.
Tali, 22, was rescued by a passing vessel but investigators have still yet to recover Ian, 32, following the accident at 9.30am local time.
The search was called off for the night, authorities said late Saturday.
– Police say alcohol may have played a role in the disappearance of a kayaker in the Hudson River.
Though the search efforts resumed Sunday, the current was apparently still strong, and there’s a very real chance that Ian could have drowned since the couple was not wearing life jackets.
Videos from the scene show rescue boats scouring the river. Watterson maintained they are doing everything they can to find him.
Jones is described as a white man, approximately six feet, three inches tall, with a slim build, dark hair, wearing jeans and a denim shirt.
The Poughkeepsie Journal said Lennox, also known as Tali Fruchtmann, was not injured and did not require hospital treatment.

But prosecutors said Miss Graswald later admitted to tampering with the kayak as part of a plot to kill him and collect his $250.00 life insurance policy.
