Kesha Tells Crowd At DNC Party Her Lawsuit Is “Fucking Horrible”

“We’ll try to get across the message that it’s important to elect somebody you know with experience and a record on these issues and somebody who will do something to keep communities safer from gun violence… and other things”, Kelly said.

Retired NASA astronaut Mark Kelly and his wife, former Arizona congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, will address the Democratic National Convention (DNC) in Philadelphia today (July 27), presumably about gun violence in America.

Kelly introduced Giffords, telling the audience that Clinton will do more for gun control and focus on what’s best for the country, “not what’s politically expedient”.

Giffords, who barely survived the shooting, was forced to give up her seat in Congress. After the incident, Giffords underwent a slow, hard rehabilitation process to regain her ability to walk and speak.

“I’ve been thinking about it because if you are a human being, you go through pain and you go through hurt. I’m going through a lawsuit”, Kesha said as the crowd broke out in cheers. I don’t know if you guys know what I am going through; I’m going through a lawsuit.

She continued, “We as a nation, we can’t control who feels hurt”. And we can’t control what you do with the hurt and the pain and the anger. Days later, she voiced her opinion about gun control once again via Instagram after Voice contestant Christina Grimmie was shot and killed in Orlando. You don’t know that.

Her appearance at the event – co-sponsored by her political action committee – followed stories by parents who lost their children to gun violence. I think the universe is screaming at us that there needs to be a change and we have to fucking listen.

She’ll be performing in Atlantic City on August 6 and then Brooklyn on August 7.

In 2012, Giffords opened the Democratic National Convention by reciting the Pledge of Allegiance.

Dr. Luke, meanwhile, has denied any sexual misconduct with Kesha and won back-to-back NY court victories in February and April with rulings that refused to release Kesha from her contract.

Though Kesha did not elaborate further on her legal troubles, she did continue on with a strongly worded stance on gun violence.

A new lawyer for Kesha said in May that the “Die Young” singer wanted permission to file an amended complaint and move forward.
