Donald Trump makes big promises at GOP convention
Hillary Clinton made no mention of her potential running mate during a rally here Friday evening, instead delivering a fiery rebuttal to Donald Trump’s acceptance speech at the Republican National Convention. “That was met with cheers from the delegates gathered in Cleveland’s Quicken Loans Arena”.

That line, according to Facebook, was the top moment on the social media platform during his speech.
“Many have witnessed this violence personally, some have even been its victims”, Trump said. In the acronym Trump used, the Q stands for queer, questioning or both. “In this race for the White House, I am the law and order candidate”.
Cruz spoke during prime time on Wednesday night at the convention, but did not endorse Trump.
“He’s going to strengthen the military to make America great again”.
The speech will set the tone for Trump’s next three months of campaigning ahead of the November 8 election, explaining why he feels Clinton is unfit to lead and why he would be better at improving the USA economy and handling the threat of Islamic State militants.
“This is the legacy of Hillary Clinton – death, destruction, terrorism and weakness”, he went on.
“You’re bound by the pledge”, like one is bound by the speech, Trump told his supporters – drawing a parallel to the Republican Party pledge that Cruz had signed, but has broken, since he isn’t supporting the GOP nominee.
Trump, meanwhile, wants the gossip sheet-which nailed former Democratic politician John Edwards’s sex scandal back in the 2008 campaign-to get its due.
Speaking “to every parent who dreams for their child, and every child who dreams for their future”, Trump said: “I am with you, I will fight for you, and I will win for you”. They also cited Republican infighting over Trump, including the refusal of many high-profile Republicans to endorse the party’s new standard-bearer.
Heidi Cruz, he said, is the “best thing” Cruz has going for him, and, “by the way, is a very nice woman and a very lovely woman”.

“Tonight, Donald Trump painted a dark picture of an America in decline”. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., said Trump “is essentially telling Russians/other bad actors” that the United States “is not fully committed to supporting North Atlantic Treaty Organisation alliance”. Trump predicted Cruz would never mount a serious campaign for president and said that if he does, “maybe I’ll start a super PAC” to attack him. “The attacks on our police and the terrorism in our cities threaten our very way of life”, he said. “Lock her up!” Trump first nodded, then shook his head.
