Debbie Wasserman Shultz Booed by Delegates from Her Home State
Both delegates believe the party can be unified.

While party chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz is stepping down soon, she will still have a convention role, which could draw jeers from Sanders delegates.
Wikileaks posted emails Friday that suggested the DNC was favoring Clinton over her rival Sen.
Security around the Republican convention was a hot topic, especially considering the head of Homeland Security, Jeh Johnson, told Congress that he was “concerned about the prospect of demonstrations getting out of hand” in Cleveland. A sizable group of pro-Sanders supporters, who organized via social media, plan to converge for large demonstrations at the convention.
On Saturday, Sanders’ campaign announced that the convention Rules Committee approved a “unity reform commission” charged with reducing the number of superdelegates, the party leaders and elected officials who may vote for the candidate of their choice at the convention.
But weekend revelations of the email hack extend beyond this week’s Democratic gathering. “I understand that people are disappointed with the outcome of our nominating process”.
“They don’t understand the actual nature of what we’re trying to do”, she says of the Clinton campaign and Democratic party establishment, “because they keep misstepping”.
Director of National Intelligence James Clapper has said USA officials have seen indications of foreign hackers spying on the presidential candidates, and that they expect more cyberthreats against the campaigns.
Senator Elizabeth Warren, meanwhile, offered an argument that was indignant yet somehow pedagogical, painting a doomsday picture of “Donald Trump’s America” which she described as “an America of fear and hate-an America where we all break apart”.
Clinton will get a shot of independent credibility from former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, who will denounce Trump and make his case for Clinton.
“To tell us to do that”, said Ryan Lopez, a California delegate, of Sanders’ request, “it goes against everything that we’re fighting for”.
The first day of the convention saw temperatures reaching the mid-90s and lots of sunshine, questions arose as to whether or not the convention started off with something else looming over it.
“It just goes to show you their exact moral compass”.
CNN’s Evan Perez reported on Monday that the suspected hack of the DNC computers was part of a much wider wave of Russian cyber attacks aimed at political organizations and academic think tanks in Washington, quoting US officials briefed on the investigations.
Bloomberg, one of the founders of a mayors’ initiative against illegal guns, is also a strong ally to Clinton in her efforts to reduce gun violence. Russell argues the changes couldn’t have passed this election cycle but that she desired “real change, and I wanted people to walk away from this convention understanding that they got something”. “The FBI’s spoken to this”. “But happily it’s going to be literally sold out so each non-paying attendee costs us ten grand”, he said.

“I sincerely apologize, my friends, for those of you who took offense and were offended, for those of you who feel betrayed and were betrayed by the ridiculous and insensitive and inappropriate emails released from the Democratic Party”, she said. It was about: “How do we pave the way for the next election and the generation after?” The Trump campaign has vociferously denied any suggestion that Russian Federation is intervening to help Trump.
