Champion of women? Ivanka attempts liberal sales pitch of Trump
“As president, my father will change the labor laws that were put in place before women had joined the labor force”, she said.

Ivanka Trump: “As a mother myself of three young children, I know how hard it is to raise a family and I know that I am far more fortunate than most”.
Don’t think for a minute that Ivanka Trump didn’t feel a little bit of panic as she stepped onto the stage at the Republican National Convention on Thursday to introduce her father. She is also friendly with Chelsea Clinton, the daughter of Trump’s Democratic rival, Hillary Clinton, and noticeably abstained from the Clinton bashing that has been rife in this convention.
Ivanka used that opportunity to argue that her father is “color blind and gender neutral”, who has made a practice of paying women the wages they deserved throughout his career.
Donald Trump is going to “fight for equal pay for equal work”.
“When Donald Trump is in charge, all that counts is ability, effort and excellence”, she said. Indeed, in polling that “Make It Work” conducted a year ago, we found that 93 percent of all voters support equal pay, including 79 percent of Republicans, and 75 percent of voters support making affordable, quality care available nationally. “By now it’s clear I think the voters don’t seem to mind”.
“I saw my father tear stories out of the newspaper, about people he never met, who were facing some sort of injustice or hardship”, Ivanka said.
Ivanka was scheduled to speak to thousands of caucusgoers at the biggest voting site in the state, but aides hadn’t scheduled volunteers to sit at the campaign’s promotional table there. Her dad believes in merit, she said. Sounds like the Trump family are doing everything they can to help each other achieve their goals.
The manner in which Trump is touching daughter Ivanka makes one think that it’s out of habit – it’s the way he must be touching all women!
Next year, Trump will be releasing her second book – one focused on women in the workforce.
Her remarks came just minutes before her father delivered his acceptance speech for the Republican presidential nomination.
And not only have all the Trump children lined up with unwavering unity behind their father’s candidacy, each addressing the convention at various points throughout the week, but apparently all the women in the Trump family have been wearing shoes from Ivanka’s line all week as well.
On Thursday night, Ivanka took the stage to introduce her father, saying that he “sacrificed greatly” to enter the world of politics as an “outsider”.
Michael Cohen, Trump’s general counsel and an executive vice president at Trump Organization, told CNN in August 2015 and explained that while Trump’s company employed 57 percent men and 43 percent women, but the majority of executives were women.

Ivanka Trump saluted her father’s personal attributes – his “fairness”, his “kindness”, his “generosity” and his “compassion”. And while she might not be able to flip votes, she could very well solidify support for him.
