Arrested Development Creator Says Season 5 Is Still Happening
The sitcom, which stars Jason Bateman, Will Arnett, Jeffrey Tambor, Portia de Rossi, Tony Hale and Jessica Walter as the dysfunctional Bluth family, ran on Fox for three seasons from 2003 to 2006 before being revived on Netflix for a surprise fourth season in 2013.

Mitchell Hurwitz, the creator and executive producer of Arrested Development, answered a question about the future of Arrested Development at the Netflix Summer TCA Press Tour in a panel for Maria Bamford’s Lady Dynamite.
“I’m appreciative of the fans wanting more”, he said.
“We’re ready to go”, creator Mitch Hurwitz tells Entertainment Weekly. Several stories have already been broken and are ready to go.
“It’s the thing I’m really desperate to do”, he said.
But even with all the complications, it won’t stop Netflix from making “Arrested Development” Season 5. “I hate to tease them with information that there is going to be more until we know for sure”.
“If it does happen, it looks like the shooting will start at the beginning of 2017.”
Are you still holding out hope for a fifth season of Arrested Development on Netflix?
“As soon as we started working on a new season of Lady Dynamite, we just start looking at what the truth of what this character is”, Hurwitz said.
