Senator Al Franken got a good one in and quipped: “Now a little about my qualifications”.

The two acknowledged they were stalling during their prolonged introduction for singer-songwriter Paul Simon, and Silverman’s comment came after a short, silent moment on the stage. He’s succeeded in so many ways, he’s already proven that Citizens United is not necessary. She even included all the proper hashtags to make sure we knew. In the dead time, Sanders’ supporters booed Silverman for backing Clinton and chanted “Bernie!” The DNC was filled with a fair amount of Bernie Sanders supporters, who made their political displeasure known.

“To the Bernie or bust people”, Silverman said, “You’re being ridiculous”. “That’s “I’m still emotionally four and calling people names from my gold-encrusted sandbox because I was given money instead of human touch or coping tools” stuff!” Her argument echoed many other speakers’ reasonings: HIllary Clinton is tough, qualified – perhaps “the only person overqualified to be President”, Silverman said – and if she’s the Democratic candidate, then she’s the one to unite behind to defeat Donald Trump. Many of them are disappointed and angry voters in Robin Hood hats and signs covered in anti-capitalist slogans, but that doesn’t mean they don’t also plan to vote for Hillary when the roll is called on Tuesday afternoon: 85 to 90 percent of Sanders supporters are expected to vote Clinton-hardly a revolt in the making. Just a few years ago, she was a secretary and now she’s going to be president.

“This Democratic primary was exemplary”, Ms Silverman said.

Silverman continued, “I will vote for Hillary with gusto as I continue to be inspired and moved to action by the ideals set forth by Bernie who will never stop fighting for us”. “Frankly, as a proud alum of Trump U, I think we may be underestimating Donald Trump”, the Senator said of the developer’s lawsuit-slapped and controversial branded university.
