The revival picks up nine years after the original show ended and treats fans to more of stars Lauren Graham, Alexis Bledel, Melissa McCarthy, Scott Patterson and Milo Ventimiglia. In a new trailer released on Wednesday, Netflix revealed that your favorite mother-daughter duo will be returning to the small screen November 25.
Those are the first words of dialogue we get to hear from the new Gilmore Girls reboot.
Netflix has finally released the teaser trailer for Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, and it is just as incredible as you’d expect it to be.
Meanwhile, fans can rejoice that Lorelai and Rory’s chemistry still rules, with Lauren Graham (Lorelai) telling Alexis Bledel (Rory): “I’ve missed you kid”. It’s a matter of seconds before the Gilmores are back in their patented banter, with a nod to how long its been since we’ve seen them together.
“It’s going to mean a lot more if you’ve taken the journey, it’s going to mean a lot less if you flip to the last page first…” I don’t have the a- I want.
“A Year in the Life” will be written by original showrunner Amy Sherman-Palladino, along with husband and writing partner Daniel Palladino. What’s cool for these two is that, because it wasn’t about a high school girl and her mom, now it’s two women.
Speaking to reporters from the TCA stage, Graham confirmed, “She does have a love life”, but added this: “I think, not all the questions have been answered”.
Sherman-Palladino even told TV Guide in 2006 she has always known which four words would end the series.
“She’s the same”, she said.

Referring to what she learned about family from the show, she said: “The shit in your family never gets worked out”. For more on the show, including details on returning cast members, head here.
